I'm trying to delete .dmg files in trash. it doesn't delete it. :( how do i fix this??

i did it 3 times and still doesn't work :( i just upgraded to lion. am i the only one facing this?

Force Empty Trash - ⇧⌥⌘⌫ (Shift+Option+Cmd+Delete)

Found an Apple discussion with a solution on this issue (it looks like it's emptying but it never actually does).

Solution:

Go to /Applications /Utilities/Terminal and launch it.
At the prompt, copy and paste this command
sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
Press Return.
You will be asked to enter your admin password. It will be invisible.
Enter it and press Return.
Log out and back in or restart.

Try holding down option when emptying trash. If that doesn't work, make sure you have permissions on the file. Then try again.

you mean hold option and click on empty trash or hold option until all trash are empty?
