I am trying to downgrade my iPad mini 2 to iOS 8.1.2 because iOS 8.1.3 doesn't provide anything better for me, so I want to go back to iOS 8.1.2 and jailbreak. But all the websites I tried for downloading ipsw, the download is way too slow. the progress bar isn't moving at all for about an hour. I have about 40mbps speed internet, so not really slow.

Do you know where to download fast?

Thanks.

I tried that website cause that one showed up pretty high on google, but the download progress isn't moving. Two other websites also were the same. Maybe there is something wrong with my computer?? I have a macbook air 2013 11inch 128gb ssd, 4gb ram. I recently freed up some storage by deleting some stuff. Maybe it's still thinking I have no storage or something?? I did reboot by the way.

Any help would be appreciated..

I just found out how to view how long it takes to finish downloading on Safari, and it says 16 hours left........ My wifi seems to work perfectly fine right now though. everything is fast when I load web pages and videos.

I just tried redmondpie, and it says it's taking 2 days and 7 hours. -_-

There are either a lot of people downloading and trying to go back to 8.1.2, or your bandwidth is being throttled due to it being the weekend? Try it later on.

Ahhh, then Apple will stop signing iOS 8.1.2 very soon. :( I hate this.

I'm using Hotspot shield to change vpn to avoid throttling, and now it says 36 minutes remaining! XD

I just used idownloadblog and had about 15 minute or less download. Good luck.

I'm having this issue again, been trying for days to get 8.3 for 2 iOS devices, (had it previously with some version of iOS 8), it was going to take 2 days to download, got Hotspot shield free download and now it says 1 hour, I'll let you know end results.

Hotspot Shield worked! But, do I need it? Or can I create VPN, do the same thing?

so, about an hour later, I got 2 ipsw files, 1.5GB, 1.65GB each with Hotspot Shield! Close to usual time it should take.

So, this means that apple downloads are specifically being throttled?? Who do I call about this? This is utter B.S.! And why we need net neutrality! I'm pretty pissed, been trying to get these iOS devices updated for days! Everything else has worked just fine, including netflix and other downloads.

But, my question is, if all this app does is create a VPN, can't I do that without the app?

(one of my iOS devices was telling me it would take 2 days to get over the air download, so, it's not just where I was getting them from.)

I'm not trying to jailbreak, just trying to restore and solve issue so I can go back to usual iTunes syncing, getting updates from apple.
