I have a MacBook Pro and all of a sudden.... I can't move any files! I can't drag them to the trash... I can't drag them into different folders... can't drag icon's from the dock and so on. Does anyone have any ideas?

Weird, I had this problem like 30 minutes ago. It happened when I unplugged my MBP from my external display to use on my couch.

Anyway, I just restarted finder and it went back to normal. Try hitting Command+Option+Escape and relaunching finder. Another way to do this is by opening up Terminal and typing "killall Finder" (capital F in Finder)

Yes, I've restarted it. I'll add a new user and see if that works now. Where would I go to change the permissions?
