i've looked on portforward.com and a bunch of other searching and i can't figure it out. i wan't to get torrent speeds faster for utorrent and im using the port 52499

i use netgear wgt624 v3 and static ips confuse me but i still think i got it.

if im failing to say something just tell me... i have the latest leopard

You might need to make a service and create that port. With the port forwarding section on that modem, you select the service then forward to lan server ( your macs ip)

Basically

All traffic that comes in on port xxxx gets forward to xx.xx.xx.xx

What is your ISP? Some go out of their way to make it difficult (although usually not impossible) to run BitTorrent.

I currently have Verizon DSL. What ISPs are not too difficult to use if you plan to download torrents?
