I can't get my camera to show up on my iMac! Please help!!!

I Need to Download Pics from my Camera to my iMac and the Camera wont show on the desktop no matter what I do! The camera was the free thing that you get at Macy's when you buy a giftcard. I just got home and was trying to download the pictures to my iMac and I can't get the thing to work. It's plugged into the computer, I just need to find it!!! Please help!!!!

What happens when you launch Image Capture? Does it detect anything to import from?

Does the camera have different USB modes?

If it does it should be on Mass Storage, or something like that...

Nope- I couldn't find anything.. it's one of those real simple digital camera without a display...
