I'm sorry if there's been a question like this before, but I couldn't find one that was specific to my problem.

I was using my iPod and the battery died, so I connected it into my wall charger. I left it there for five minutes, then came back to check my e-mail real quick (I still left it plugged into the wall). All I got was a blank white screen.

So I plugged it into my computer and tried to reset it and all I got was an error message. After that, I got a black screen and I can't do anything with my iPod. It won't turn on, won't charge. Nothing.

iTunes won't even recognize my iPod anymore. I know it's not because of the USB cable because it worked in iTunes five minutes before that and my computer recognizes that a device is plugged it, but iTunes does not.

My iPod isn't even a year old (I got it back in early June). I dropped it a few times, but it's always worked afterwards and I did nothing out of the ordinary to cause this problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me?

Thanks in advance!

What error message were you getting when you tried to restore?
Does your computer recognize the iPod at all when plugged in?
Are you still under Apple warranty?
What OS version is the iPod running?
Were you using a stock Apple wall charger or third party?
Do you come here often?
Get your coat you've pulled!
