iPod touch I cant get out of playing music

I have a gen 4 and when my daughter plays music she cant go back to the library, though she can swip the screen to go to the library.
Any help guys?

I think we need a little bit more information: Are you saying that, if you are playing music, your 'home' button does not respond when you press it? If so, exactly where and when does the problem occur?

Or are you saying that, if you are in the 'now playing' screen, you cannot backtrack to continue looking at your music library?
