I've tried to import a .ics file from the Internet to iCal. It loads onto my computer but when I try to open or import it into iCal I get the message "This calendar file is unreadable. No events have been added to your iCal calendar".

The content of the file as translated by TextWrangler is attached in a Word format document. Any suggestions as to how, or if, I can import this file to iCal?

Thanks,

it may have an ".ics" extension but not be formatted correctly. I just exported & imported a bunch with no problem. Try dragging the .ics file directly into iCal, see what it does.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that as well but didn't work. I suppose the file itself could be corrupt.

Sorry so Late

The word doc format can not be imported, but if you cut and paste the contents into a vanilla ASCII text file and save it with a .ics extension, it might import. I imported to mozilla lightning even after all these years successfully.
