From a windows computer, I converted e-mail from outlook express to mbox files to use with mail. Now I want to switch to Thunderbird and bring those in. When I go to Import though, it doesn't find any mailboxes to import from and I can't seem to get those e-mails into Thunderbird no matter what. Is there a way of doing this?

Not entirely sure. I have Thunderbird set up on comcast and g-mail accounts so I know g-mail uses pop. If I try to drag and drop nothing happens, and the import feature just says no mailboxes found so I'm not even sure if it's looking in the right place for them. I'm not getting any real error message for the problem.

you may have to export from mail.app first and then import. Not sure though seeing I haven't used thunderbird (or pop) for several years.... Someone else jump in here please
