Hi! I am using an iphone 4s. It can detect wireless networks. When I was entering the password for the network, I was trying to tap on "join", but it was disabled. Can anybody help me on this?

Thanks!

Wow enoC! Did you really even read Cherrycea's question?

My suggestion is for you to go into Settings then into Wifi. At the bottom of the Wifi settings page, you will see a slider "Ask to join networks". Make sure it's on.

How would this help? It would just mean that the iPhone would prompt you with a list of nearby WiFi networks when it isn't connected.

To the OP, I'd suggest either making sure the security settings match (WEP/WPA etc) and if that fails just make your password longer. iOS doesn't seem to like passwords under 8 characters.

Yes, this is correct. My Wi-Fi network has 13 characters and the join button doesn't become available until I have entered at least 10 characters.

Try changing your Wi-Fi password to a longer one and try to use a compatible security system like WPA/WPA2.
