So I just got a new phone and was trying to load some MP3s onto a Micro SD card. I put the card in the SD adapter that came with it, and plugged it into my Sony Card reader and it wouldn't mount on my Mac. It does not show up in Disk Utility either.

When I put the card in the phone and plug the Phone into my Mac it mounts just fine and I can drag MP3s to it. When I get info on it it comes up as FAT32 so the formatting is not the problem.

It would be nice to get it to read with the card reader so I don't have to have another cable and plug the phone in every time I want to transfer some music, and I can return the Sync cable and get my 20 bucks back. :)

Any ideas?

Is it possible the card reader won't work with the exact type of card you have? I've had card readers that worked fine with SD cards, but of course wouldn't accept an SDHC or SDXC card. It's possible you have a Micro SDHC or something along those lines.
