I created a new folder for news, and I'm trying to move an app on a different screen to that folder by pressing the app until they jiggle, tapping once, then sliding to the edge of the screen. But it won't move to the next screen; it just slides back to its original position. What am I doing wrong?

Move it all the way over to the side of the screen and hold it there for a bit.

dont try to swipe it too far off the edge of the screen. I just hold it at about half way for a sec or two and it will go over.

I always "dock it" on the home bar and move the screen i want it to go to then undock it to its final place.

You can always manage the location of your apps from iTunes by using your computers mouse.

This is easiest, or just hold the app near the edge while it is "wiggling" and it will move to the next page. At times I run into the same problem and I think dragging the app all the way to the edge prevents it from moving to the next page for some reason.
