I can't remove the icon from the dock

Hey i got a ? icon on the dock and i found no way to remove it. actually i got 2 icons, one is plex and the other one is the sims.

You should be able to drag it off and let it "poof" and disappear
Normally the link is broken or the app has been deleted
Drag the icon from the App folder back to the dock to restore

Hmm now i cant move any icon, when i try to drag them off it just wont move.

even just logging out/in should restart the dock.

try right clicking on the icon and press "Remove From Dock"

i tried all that, but i just found the solution on the another forum:

Delete com.appledock.db and com.apple.dock.plist and then restart the mac.

Yeah, I'm sure that's where the others who responded were headed. But, it's always good to try the simple stuff first.
