Hi!

I have a PowerMac (MDD 1.2 Ghz Dual) desktop that I have not turned on in a while. The last time the machine ran, it worked fine. I try to turn it on tonight that the power-up light goes dim. I recall that I encountered this problem before and it was fixed by pressing the PUM button on the board. I try it again and the the machine does not power up -- the light continues to go dim.

I maybe missing a step but here's what I am doing...

Powering down the machine by removing the powercord.

Opening up the case and pressing the PMU button on the board.

Powering the machine up again.

I have followed these steps and there is no joy.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!
