I can't seem to save jpg pics from preview

I receive pics by email and click to open. Goes to preview but when I want to save as it tells me I don't have permission and to go to file>get info. Of course, because I can't get it into finder, I can't go to get info. Why is this happening and how do I deal with it? Thank

FWIW, when I get pics or other attachments to email in Mail, I click on the Save button in upper right of an email. That automatically downloads the item to my Downloads folder. From there I can move it wherever I want....

So, don't have any problems with pics or other files this way....
