i cant send text or recieve text messages on my iphone can someone help?

i just connected my iphone4 with h20 unlimited talk and text. for some reason i cant send text messages or recieve. i read to turn off imessages so i did and now i cant send messages i was able to recieve until i turned it off. now i cant do nothing with texting. if someone experienced this problem before please let me know how to fix it. its running ios 5.0

You need to call that company or check their forums to find out their carrier settings for SMS and MMS. Just mention you have an unlocked iPhone and I'm sure plenty of people can help you out.
