Hi guys, I just got leopard and I accidently dragged the download stack out of the dock! I haven't even had the chance to use it so i was wondering how I can put the download stack back in the dock? Many thanks for your help and sorry for a stupid question if it's an easy thing to sort out!
Thanks!

You can't drag it from the sidebar, it has to be the real folder in your home dir.

I did a clean install and I have a downloads stack. And 1 for documents.

Are you clicking on the specific user, then click on and drag the downloads folder, drag it down to your dock and drop it anywhere on the "right" side of the dock seperator.

If it still doesn't work, do you have access to modify the dock??

Ahh,

I wasn't clicking in the downloads folder under the specific user.

I have done now and all is well.

Perhaps, you might be able to assist with another problem with my doc?

Before I upgraded to Leopard, I managed to delete the @ link to the apple downloads section on the apple website.

Any ideas?

Thank you so much for your help today.

Sarah

I don't know if it is possible to get the @ back...
But don't forget, by clicking on the Apple in the upper left and clicking the 'Mac OS X Software...' button will take you to the same page.:apple:

Do the above and then drag the address from Safari to the Dock and you'll get the @ back.

That worked.

Thank you so much.

I've only had my MacBook for the past few months, so still a little nervous of what to do.

Cheers

Sarah:D

I know this is an old thread but when I drag the downloads folder into my dock and click the icon, it will show me the whole folder, the original would only show me my most recent and not expand into the grid layout. Is there anyway I can get THE ORIGINAL downloads back?
