I deleted the "hidden" private folder on my mac, but that still on trash.

Now the big problems are:

- when I try to open Terminal to move the folder from the trash to my hard disk, appears a message that says:
the administrator doesn't specified your shell with a legal value.

- I can't change the date and time;

- well almost nothing.

Do you have any suggestions that might solve the problem?

What should I do? Please help me :(

Thank you in advance.

Oh Noes

Ummmm, lets see

If you've got a bakup try reverting to that, it should fix it
If not, try creating a new account that has Administrator Privileges and see if that works.

If not then do a fresh install but BE SURE to BACKUP all of your important and any files you want.

Can't you use finder to put it back?

It needs to go it the Hard Drive's root directory.

I don't think he deleted it through Finder. Possibly through Terminal and if so then you probably can't put it back through FInder

I'm doing backups now... I deleted the private folder through Finder :S

I'm a recent mac user, can you explain me how can I create a new admin account if I don't have almost any permissions?
