I have been using Macs since 1998 in middle school. Had a few PowerPC models, got the first MBP in Jan. 2006. Used it until 2012 when I got a spec'd rMBP 1st gen. Used that until it was stolen in a home invasion in November of 2016, which was then replaced by a 2016" tbMBP, which I used until I got a 16" earlier this week.

I spent years on a 2016 15" with the supposed "horrible keyboard". I had no issues with stuck keys, and genuinely enjoyed typing on it after I got used to it. I never understood the hate of the butterfly keyboard. It was just different, and I thought everyone was blowing it out of proportion.

Narrator: They weren't blowing it out of proportion.

Typing on the 16" is like the old days. It's incredible how different it is compared to my 2016 (and the 2018 15" I used for a time). Night and day. I run sales for a semi-large company, so most of the time it's on a stand in my office with my dual monitors, but I do quite a bit of work at home typing on the actual machine. And man, last night, I got lost in time writing a proposal that I didn't realize it was 5am until my alarm went off to wake up.

I was a hater, and I talked **** about people disliking the new keyboards. I was wrong. There was a difference. And man, am I happy to have the machine that I do have now.
