I absolutely loved the white Ipods, and everything else Apple in regards to white. I loved the trademark of it.

But in regards to the white Macbook, I don't know, I just don't like it. It makes no sense I know, but there's just something about the Blackbook that makes it look so much better. Is anyone else like this too?

i dont like any of the white stuff, thank god its going away

I love the white MacBook. It makes such a statement no matter where it is. They do require upkeep, though. I suppose it comes down to whether you just want a computer or a beautiful piece of furniture.

Also, the BlackBook is beautiful too. I wish Apple had split everything down the middle; black and white options for everything (INCLUDING accessories). This new, aluminum clad world frightens and confuses me.

i also like the white ipods but ive always thought that the ibook and white macbooks look too feminine

I think that the terms "feminine" and "elegance" can be interchangeable often. At any right, I like the "femininity" of the MacBook's design. (I'm a boy, FYI, but a pretty androgynous one, so you can take my comments with several tablespoons of salt.)

I have owned a few white iBooks. I love the white MacBook. After Leopard is released I am going to buy the higher priced white MacBook.

As a user from a PC background, the white really stood out as Apple-ish. Pity we only have the Macbook, Mouse and Airport Express as major (Tiny accessories not included) white products...

Same here. But, I just got the thing two weeks ago. :)

Next up is JBL Creatures II, which I fell in love with the first time I saw them over two years ago.

The BlackBook is a gorgeous machine, really. I'm happy for everyone that got one. If it was available for the same price, I might have considered it. Blacktax is just absurd, though.

I love the white stuff...I demand more white stuff....now....more...now now now! :D

hehe...what white stuff are you wanting, exactly ;)

I don't mind the white MBs too much. They look, uh, antiseptic and clean (although, due to its color, it would seem difficult to keep it so). Anyway, I was at an Apple Store recently and I saw this hottie at the Genius bar getting her Blackbook fixed. And I thought the BB looked really sleek and almost mysterious. Plus it was a great conversation starter with the hottie :D .

Sounds like a great day. ;) I think Apple should make all their accessories available in black as well as white.

I chose the white one because I'd smudge that black one up to noticeably.

I like the white macbook the most, and hate the black macbook (it looks like an IBM Thinkpad from a distance and that white apple logo is just too much). But I hate the white ipods and like the black ipods.

If you ask me, black laptops are out of style, PC's played out that look, now its all about light shades or 2tone. I think a light cream or eggshell macbook would be a good new color.

I would go for putty. You know the drab greyish tan color that dominated the pc market for so long. Infact I have a calculator and scanner on my desk right now that would match perfectly (sorry for the sarcasm, but I could not help it).

BTW - Dell is already doing the color thing: http://www.dell.com/content/product...nb_1420?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~tab=bundlestab

Maybe the world will go backwards and Apple will start taking design cues from Dell.....

I know what you mean... I think they just want you to spent the extra $200 to get the black one. The only difference between the "upgraded" white one and the black MacBook is 40GB more HD space, and the different color. I think that, like the new iMac, MacBooks will be aluminum in the future.

Just as long as they don't take design cues from Alienware (who, by the way, Dell recently purchased)...

I agree completely, I have no problem with the white iPods, but the white laptops look like a toy to me. To me the aluminum is the ultimate in design.
