If I have 2 notifications on the lock screen from two different apps, I used to slide one of them and it would take me right to that app. With touch ID, you can't do that. When you put your finger on the home button, it unlocks and takes you to the last app you were using, creating an extra 2 steps to get to my notification.

I'm not sure what you mean? you slide the notification, the passcode screen comes up, use touch id or enter your code and then whatever notification app you swiped launches.

I think if your not used to having a passcode, the new step might throw you but it does launch the correct app, just like it always did.

Can't you just slide the slider and then touch the home button? Before Touch ID when you had a passcode lock and you had multiple notifications you could slide one, then type in your passcode, and then it would take you straight to that particular app. Now, when you have Touch ID enabled and you get multiple notifications you slide one of them and when the passcode screen pops up you just hold your finger on the home button and it takes you straight to the app.

I want to tap the home button, see the notification, use touch Id, and then be brought to the application where the notification came from.

I'd like to see it as a user option, but I know that's not Apple's style.

And if you have multiple? It should just make a best guess eh?

Think of the slide on that notification as the selection of what you want, then Touch I.D. to get into the phone.

Works for me. If I get a notification, I swipe it, scan to unlock and it goes to the appropriate app for the notification (iMessage, Facebook, etc)

there aren't 10+ character passwords in iOS. what are you talking about?

Sure is. Go into the passcode section and turn off simple pass codes. Can then type in anything you wish, letters, numbers, other characters.

Turn off simple passcode in the security panel. I have a 10+ alpha numeric password on mine.

It's needed. There should be a quicker way to do this because it really is clunky. Maybe something like tap the notification and then tap touch ID? Rather than swipe, see a passcode screen, tap, wait, and go.

It's tough, there isn't really a solution to quickly dealing with those notifications.

why should iOS assume you want to be brought straight into the app that is putting a notification on your LS?
You have the option to go straight to the main menu by sliding left to go to passcode. If Apple allows you to slide the notification, the purpose IS to go straight to the app...

So I just tested this... If you slide the notification, you go to the passcode screen and you touch your sensor and go straight to app relative to the notification...

What's the issue here??
