Under “Ask to Join Networks”, what’s the difference between the ‘Notify’ and ‘Ask’ options?

Under “Auto-Join Hotspot”, what’s the difference between ‘Ask to Join’ and ‘Automatic’?

Join Networks:
- Notify: a push notification telling you about new networks to join
- Ask: old obtrusive alert popup you have to click away

Hotspot:
- Ask: same as ask for networks
- Automatic: join the hotspot automatically (I think limited to family member hotspots)
