I don't understand why

The flash on my phone has been turning on randomly by its self. How do I fix it or what can I do to fix it?

I had this problem with my first iPhone 3, try resetting it, fixed it for me.

How do I do that

Press and hold the home button and lock screen button and keep holding until device turns off and Apple logo re appears, if you've never done it it may take a while, not ages, but a while.
