I dropped my iPhone, over eight feet, with my Incase slider, the phone cracked on the top (see pictures), but it protected the iPhone. There was no scratches or dents in my device. Three hours and thirty dollars later, I got a black one.

Thanks for the info-- glad to know there is some sort of shock absorption with the case.
 
let me also say, I had dropped my case a couple of times before. This one was different because of the landing, it occurred directly on the top of the phone, which is where the crack occurred.
 
Although I love my slider case, I was starting to doubt how much protection it even gave me. Thanks for sharing :) Glad everything was cool.
 
Good to know it did it's job! Now I might consider buying one. I just really hate any added size to the iPhone, and also this may seem a little "picky" but I REALLY hate covering the :apple: on the back of my phone! ha!
