The display area is certainly smaller, by about 0.3 sq inches.

It's also narrower, so it will take some time getting used to it.

I was wondering about this- glad to see someone made that proportional overlay. I still think I'd prefer that just to have a smaller footprint phone. Apple's marketing is working- I look at the bezel on my 7+ and think it's dated and want to get an X.

I've thought for a long time that the right size would be between the 7 and the 7 plus - I use the plus now. Now that the bezels are gone it will be ideal.

The Plus is just way too big. The X is what everyone that just can't do the Plus wants - right form factor/size + bigger screen.

FaceID is the biggest unknown of the X - but size is not an issue. The X is just perfect in size.

I'll find it too big. The regular 6/7 is slightly too long for me, but manageable. I'd rather see edge to edge in that size. You can't please everyone.

Any idea if the phone will have the one handed erm thing? That the current plus has? Where you double tap touch id

It's nearly identical to your current 6S, do you have a problem reaching the top of that?
Even with no bottom bezel?
I assume most people use the phone one-handed by supporting the bottom of the phone with their pinky. I know I've seen others say that's how they do one-handed. I can just barely reach the top left corner of my 6s. Even though the X doesn't have a bezel (it does, it's just small), the screen is over an inch larger. Let's also remember the screen is also taller and uses an even higher aspect ratio than the 8+.
[doublepost=1505413824][/doublepost]If you look at the overlays here I think it becomes clear that one-handed use with the X is going to be very difficult.

The X's screen is a little over 5.25" tall. Measuring my 6S, to reach the top left corner of the screen on the X, I have to be able to reach the very top left of the bezel on my 6s, which I very much cannot do and I bet most others cannot either.

Initially, I did not care for the X. However, after viewing several hands-on reviews and reading the specs the X is smaller than my iPhone 7 Plus. That said I may get it. I always preferred the regular 6 and 7 models in terms of size, the Plus is slight too large for my pocket.

The biggest factor for me is if I can swipe down from the top right with one hand. I use the flash light along with other items in the control center dozens of times a day. Since the X is shorter than the 7 Plus (to the top of the screen), I have a feeling swiping from the top right may not be an issue.

I switched to the ip7 from the 6+ because the + was just too big for my preferences. The X in comparison will be perfect for me because I get a much larger screen without having the large chassis of the +. Looking forward to the X in this regard for sure.
