Yea and it's not a good feeling and I am only 1 year out. Sure I have a notion of concepts but I sure do feel like I have forgotten a crap load. Is this normal?

How did I ever get hired as an engineer when I feel like I lost everything I have learned. oh boy

I almost immediately felt that I forgot the majority of the stuff I learned after I got my bachelors.

Totally different story with my masters however.

My thinking is that most of the classes required for the bachelors were so broad and maybe not the most interesting that I simply forgot it. With the masters program, the classes were more intense and interesting which is why I think I've retained the majority of it.

Then again, its been less than two years ago so...

Sounds about right.

Do some research on the truth and history of "educational" institutions, the way the human mind works, and the difference between schooling and education.
