I have a Rotator Cuff injury that will need surgery to repair. It is going to be hard using the phone one handed with my non-dominate arm for several months. It's not the phones fault, but has anyone had to deal with this and have any tips?

Be like this.

Except for the smoking. Don't smoke.

In all seriousness, though, you can try one of the pop up cases:

My wife has one and it works really well for her. She doesn't need to use her phone one handed, but it has helped her use the phone one handed in more cases than she would otherwise be able to.

I can use my Pro Max with my non-dominate hand easily. But one hand typing is slower vs my dominate.

Get one of those pop socket things, either one that sticks on a case or attaches to a case. The Otter Box above is nice, I have one that fits over my Apple silicone case. I like that I can adjust level of pop socket so I can stand my phone up vertically at different angles, but they super similar outside of that.

That's helped me tremendously for single-hand usage, and I'm also using my non-dominant hand a lot because of some recurring arm pain on my dominant side.

ACCESSIBILITY!
There are lots of useful shortcuts with this setting.
Also for one handed typing, if you hold down on the happy face emoji when your keyboard is displayed you have the option of being able to use a shrunken keyboard
