I want to change my password, but I forgot what it orginally was. Is there a way I can find out what it is?

I don't want to be the guy who says "use the search function" so I'm not going to say anything.

No, you can't retrieve the password, but you can reset the password if you boot from the original OSX install CD/DVD (Insert the DVD, restart, hold the "C" key down throughout the restart.

I'll say it: Searching "Reset Password" on this forum or on Apple's Support website will often get you the answer in less time than it takes to make a new thread.
