I prob wouldn't do this. It's one thing messing with a program files but I would not do that to my OS files.

The strings file on Mavericks is no longer scripted that way ...

That said, I don't think you even need to go through all that on Mavericks ...

Right click, Show View Options, Sort By "Kind" should suffice ...

The problem is the list is still alphabetized, albeit by "Kind". If you want the kind "Folder" to always be at top or bottom this customizes the label for folders by pre-pending a space, so "Folder" becomes " Folder".
