What is going on with my terminal? I am not able to type anything or run any commands. It shows up every time I open terminal, re-opening is the same thing.

The last thing I did was setting permission of my 'Macintosh HD' so that administrator can get access to read& write, I recently did a restore from Time Machine due to hard drive failure. Not sure if either of those things cause this, help!!

First I would Repair Permissions from Disk Utility and reboot. If that does not resolve the issue try repairing your user account permissions: http://osxdaily.com/2011/11/15/repair-user-permissions-in-mac-os-x-lion/.
