Hi folks,

Well I went out on Saturday and bought myself a 16GB iPad wifi, and all I can say is WOW!

The capacity is fine for me as I can swap and change movies, music etc when ever I need to.

A question if I may, with regards charging the battery. Am I correct in saying that when you get the iPad out of the box the battery was fairly full so what I done is allow it to empty and then pu it on charge.

Would I be correct in that theory to giv it a full battery life.

Any how I'm loving the iPad and even though Apple are releasing the 2nd gen shortly, my theory is if you keep putting off buying one you'll never buy one.

Regards

Eamonn

It's a Lithium-Polymer battery, so it's better for it to charge it often and not allow it to discharge fully. NiMH are the ones that you had to 'train' so that they wouldn't 'cap' by allowing a few full charge/discharge cycles. Li-ion and Li-poly don't suffer from this. Once in a blue moon it's worth allowing to discharge fully to re-calibrate it, but it's not the end of the world if you don't.
