A geographical oddity
My favorite restaurant (a sandwich place) in the whole world had a "create a sandwich contest," and I won! I now have a sandwich named after me! If you go to Roy's Place, its sandwich #160. I think everybody in the Gaithersburg, MD area should go there and try it (and they got wi-fi, so you can post your opinion of me). My wife and I are going to head up to try it tonight after we get home from work, so we'll be there around 7:30 or 8pm. If anybody else wants to come join us, you're more than welcome.:D

they didn't come right. or did it?

Here's to the Crazy Ones
I'm, uh, flattered by the offer. Why don't you meet us tonight? It could be a lot of fun!

Congrats, nbs2!

That menu seems to have had trouble with its numeric sort. But I found #160 despite the huge effort it took to press Command-F.

If you were aiming for the south end, that joke definitely exploded right out of the hole.

I'll be looking for the "nbs2 Sandwhich" next time I'm there... which might never happen ;)
Time for a intervention from god to change his member name to "Roy's Sandwich #160"

Ha! nice try nbs2 ! I went to the site and there is no sandwiche named nbs2, #160 is name after some astronaut or something.

EDIT: I know w_parietti22 beat me to the punch.

Congratulations! I'd consider going there for lunch, if I wasn't 2338.84 miles away. ;)

nice one! good for you. :)

mixed news

well, i have good news and bad news. i misunderstood what happened. i didn't win the contest, but they liked my sandwich enough to put it on the menu. we went to roy's last night and here is my opinion of the situation:

My wife decided to mock me and get the winners sandwich (139) while I ate myself. She decided that I make a better sandwich. While they modified my original idea a little, it wasn't bad (I had used provolone, cherry peppers and BBQ sauce and didn't have pepper jack). Oh! and golden sauce is a honey/mustard/ranch/heaven blendish thing that i really can't place but is just amazing!

I understand what you mean, but I laughed out loud at the way you chose to phrase it, and about the teasing you got from your wife.

Even if you didn't place first, having the sandwich added to the menu makes you a winner anyway. After all, MacRumors has over 60,000 members and you are the first to be given such a prominent place in sandwich history.
