I got Discord working again on TenFourFox

How is it possible: Userscript for utilizing an older version of the discord web app that they still host (hence the old logo)

A little off topic, but dosdude1 fixed discord-lite recently.

Important Notes​

  • As of version 0.3-alpha, a new Curl and OpenSSL-based backend for both the WebSocket and HTTP requests has been implemented. As such, the application now has full TLS v1.3 support, and once again works without the need of going through a proxy running on a newer machine.

This is all super cool, but I'd think about trying to make it work with InterWebPPC too, because I use it, and also TenFourFox is out of date (I think?????) unless somebody has or is making an update. InterWebPPC is just patched TenFourFox, so it should all port with minimal effort though. Maybe discord will just run as is on InterWebPPC?

Anything on the security of this and InterWebPPC and TenFourFox? I'd want to be sure its safe before I sign onto anything, including discord.

I prefer this version now as it hides the scroll bars better (see previous screenshot above). Thanks. Still working fine on snow leopard with AF/IW/SW.

That wasn’t a joke.

Only your finding, post-change, would make the first data you posted meaningful since the only variable changing is the 01/2019 materials.

So yes, please. Repeat the same DM and let us know how long it takes, versus using the 2020 materials. Cheers.

i have no problem with you making modifications of my userscripts, it's just great that people do this :)

well, I can't. I've since upgraded my iBook G3 from 256 to 640MB of RAM, and that sped it up drastically. discord now loads in only 10 minutes (talking about the 03/2020 version here), and it only takes a few seconds to send a DM.

where did you get the css for this version of discord? thanks in advance!
 
Side note: I will never not miss the shiny dock in some of these photos. MacOS used to be magical.
