Using THIS method (the long pain in the butt way) I was able to jailbreak my 2G iphone with windows.
I then installed bootneuter through cydia, which I read somewhere was all you needed to do to unlock it, but when I try change out my sim card the phone detects the change and says it needs to be activated in itunes.
Is there any way to get around this? Or any way to unlock at all at this point without having a Mac anywhere nearby?
Restoring to a pwned firmware from DFU mode doesn't work...i get the itunes 1600 error.
I've done a bit of research and not seen anything. I would just sit and wait for winpwn but I'm leaving the country in 3 days.
