The guy I got told me the following:

A. They've had the phone for about 2 days. Not counting weekends.
B. They had to stand in line like everyone else to get theirs
C. Its entirely too early to get a feel for how long its going to be before the cases are available

So, for those of you waiting - don't. Get something else and than decide if the additional purchase is worth it for you.

Apple doesn't give accessory makers early access to the phones so some took a best guess and went into production. The flash seems to have tripped up several companies.

Otterbox, PowerSupport and others waited until receiving the phone to begin design/production.

Next time around I'll hold off on getting a phone until the accessories I want are available and issue-free.

That's what Speck kinda told me in regards to the flash issue with the CandyShell. My friend called another case co. (forgot which one) and said they too stood in line for hrs to get their "prototype" and its going to be at least 6 weeks before things go into manufacturing...
