that's cool/ i have a 1G 8GB. i wanted to get a new 2G 8GB but they'll come out w/ and even newer better one in a year so i'll just wait. but enjoy or new iPod. you'll love it.

I went for a run around central park today with it!. It works seamlessly. Great not having any externals on the ipod itself.

awesome. did you have nike+ before the touch? can you tell us how it is compared to the nano? (maybe just on walks if you don't have time).

How does the speaker sound, both quality and volume? Does it even somewhat compare to the iphone?

the sound is actually better on the speakers than I expected. Maybe other people with one as well might disagree but they're not bad. It's a nice improvement over 1st gen. It still confuses me how the sound can come out clear enough without having "grills" of where they actually are. hah :) I'll post some pics of it if anyone is interested.

My friend bought one today. We looked at them yesterday and he got it today. We put the speaker through some tests. It sounds horrible and distorts badly. I guess it is better than nothing, but Apple could of done better. As far as the rest of it. I don't like the curved back. The gen 1 has a better back and the thinness is really the same.

Overall not impressed, but it is a good deal if you don't already have one.

Does it come with a stand to prop it up for movies? I checked out the unboxing photos from engadget and i didnt see one.

Me too

I got my new touch on wednesday too! The story didn't even know they had them until I asked them to check the back. Having a blast with all the apps and everything, a great little iPod

The sound, I assume, is for applications and games rather than music like some people have expected. It makes sense to me.

Good to hear that it's not that bad.

yep i did. its accurate. all the numbers/sats are accurate to what i was getting on my nano 3rd gen. it syncs wirelessly very well, no disconnections or anything so far (while running). its great not having to put the piece into the ipod touch itself.

How is your volume button?

My volume button is very hard to push. I can't tell if it's defective or if it just seems like it because the button is on the curve. Thanks.

its hard but its supposed to be like that. I found that clicking the outersides of the volume buttons is much easier, and maybe you are supposed to do it that way.

the volume button is prob like that also so that when your using safari, you don't acidentally press it therefore changing the volume. idk. just a guess.:)
