I got this mac today from my local savers, it cost me 30.00 in total, everything works so far, i am hooked to the internet on it right now, but it is 10.3 on it and when i try to update it it says that there is not an internet conncetion, so it will not update, what do i do?

If you really mean it's running Mac OS version 10.3 (Panther), you're not going to get any updates for it.

$30? Must be an old 300-something Mhz G3? You will be limited to how far you can upgrade OSX depending on the hardware. PPCs, like G3, G4, G5, can only get to 10.5, and if you do have a low-end old iMac you might want keep it where it is OS-wise.
