from my mac osx to windows in bootcamp. The file is on my External Harddrive. Is there some way I can partition a small part of my HD so windows can read it? Or is there a faster way? Thanks!

I've never used it, but isn't that exactly what bootcamp does? Can't you use bootcamp to partition the drive? I thought that was the point.

You don't show what you have for a mac, but can you burn it to a dvd?

I have a macbook pro. I could burn it to a dvd-r but I'm out of them.
Meh maybe I should run to staples.
I thought there could be a free way though.

Yeah bootcamp partitions your mac harddrive into two sizes. One is the mac, other is windows. You cant edit the windows files though, or I'd just throw the 4gig file into the documents folder.

You can, well kind of.. I used Boot camp to install Windows XP SP2, and chose a 32GB partition and when installing Windows I made sure I chose Fat 32, so sayyy I'm working on a project in Mac OS X I can drop it in the windows partition and then boot camp into windows and edit/text the project in windows.
