I had 1000 photos in Photo Stream.....now only 30 days worth?

I was going through my Ipad photos so that I can do a backup prior to installing IOS 9. I noticed that I had 1000 photos in my Photo Stream. I did something and now I only have the past 30 days of photos in my Photo Stream. What happened to the rest of my photos?
 
They are gone? Photostream had a cap of either 1000* photos or 30 days (whichever came first).
