When I woke up the Mac Studio this morning right off the bat is start behaving strangely. YouTube voices were not in sync with the screen. My paired HomePods 2 were not pairing correctly. I would start to play music and the left HomePod started to play and several second later the Right hand HomePod would kick off. Plus things were generally not working like they should. I have experienced similar things like this on my iPhones so I restarted the Studio and that fixed it. I have no Idea what caused this. I have long been in the habit with My windows machines to do a full restart on them after I loaded the latest potential disaster form Microsoft. I think I will do this with the Mac as well just on general principles.

Sounds more like a syncing issue with your Homepods, if you're using them with both your Mac and iPhone and the issue is happening with both of them. It would probably also be less of a hassle to have to reboot a Homepod, too.

I don't often use my iPhone with the HomePods. The sound syncing issue on YouTube I have run into before usually restarting YouTube fixes the problem. This time I had other issues and when that sort of thing happens I do the Windows thing and do reboot. 😁
