I hate Midnight

I just want an all black watch.

I hate midnight. It is too blue and doesn't go with every outfit. The graphite stainless steel is too grey and shiny.

Just give me a black watch. Why is that so much to ask?

You should get a black wrap for your watch ?

Or send it out to an anodizing shop for any color you want.

BTW, I don't see the "blue" in my midnight AW S9.

Looks black enough for me and I don't care what I wear to match or not.

I want the magnetic fabric band but nowhere to be found - that's what is irritating me.

I'm not a fan of midnight either. I opted for silver instead. I do wish Apple gave us that option for black.

I have only seen it in store, didn't like it at all. I had trouble at first with my SBTi as it looks a lot like it (texture wise) in indoor lighting but once outside in bright light looks amazing. I think midnight is dull as ditchwater.

And it's weird they have such a strong opinion against black - no black straps, no black leather (while they had leather) and no black watches - Totally agree that Midnight is not a substitute for black if you pair with black/white clothing.

Love my 45mm midnight black S9 aluminum - matches well with blue band and now waiting for the long awaited textile magnetic blue band coming in next month.

It's a good point to bring up the hermes... the bizarre thing is, the space black model is so poorly marketed that most people probably don't even know that it exists. If you go through the Series 9 buy page, there is no option for space black at all because it only comes with the hermes editions. that said, in no way in hell am I paying $400+ more than AW Ultra just to get space black stainless steel.

it's a shame apple didn't actually kill their hermes partnership. that stuff is a joke.

Seems it is, but the photos on a website are not necessarily a reflection of what it looks like in person. I do have my S4 SBSS and I also have the midnight ocean band. The S4 is black under any light conditions, the midnight band sure is dark blue in sunshine, whether that applies to the midnight watch I do not know.
The other factor the SBSS has going for it is that it is DLC coated which makes the case very scratch resistant, much more than the PVD coating on the gold and graphite SS watches.

Okay yes, you can pay a massive over price to get black at all - and they don’t even sell Hermes in many markets (Denmark included)
