Unfortunately, some Blu-ray cases are also incorporating a different kind of hinge system. I hate the ones that have the hinge and several of them are already broken so that the hinge doesn't close all the way. :mad:

I don't like it either. I would just like to simply open up my DVD case and not have it constricted in the case.
 
Why would you apply the amount of strength that would break it, before realizing that something's wrong and remembering that there are hinges?
 
Thank you. Seriously guys- it's not that big of a deal. I've never ruined a DVD case because of this.

Blu-Ray is beginning to put the hinges on, too. Get used to it, duke.:)

You can rip off the 2 little hinges that come on the DVDs. This is what I did when they first started making them like that.

I can't say anything about the Blu-Ray hinges because I haven't bought any with them on there yet.
 
You don't need to remove the flap, just fold it over and it will stay shut. :D
