R&B star Usher is to embark on a tour for ladies only.

"What better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women?" he told the Associated Press news agency.
The singer, who enjoyed success with his single Love In This Club earlier this year, said he was finalising dates at about 15 "intimate" venues.

And he is relishing his sex symbol image. "The ladies like to see that masculine build," he said. "They question if I still got it."
BBC.

Hey, Usher http://up.*************/files/1/Images/Smilies/MoFugger.gif

I like Usher's music, but that is pretty ridiculous, even by the R&B world's standards. And when you're pretty ridiculous in a world so fabulous that it can produce Trapped in the Closer <3 <3... that's pretty impressive.

Funny that you say this. A long time ago, I decided that I would purchase music if I liked it and not focus on whether I liked the artist or not. There are artists which I enjoy their music but think very little of them as persons. Some I even detest. I still purchased their songs that I liked.

I don't follow the music scene .... like at all ... but wasn't he one of those with the clean nice image a while back?

I generally pay little attention to their off-court antics, also. But then this doesn't exactly fall in that category, does it? I don't go to R&B concerts that often in general, but if the artists to whose concerts I did go started telling me they were just doing concerts for women... well, I would be miffed about that from a purely musical standpoint, aside from considering it arrogant....

As usual, you do make some great points.

And I agree.

Amazing...

he's fun to mock, if not too easy. :D

Hmm. Have his staff checked the clearances on all the doors at these venues, leading to the stage? Yanno, to make sure his big fat head will fit through?

Sheesh. Not a lot of steps from "Player" to "Tool", I guess.

Honestly would many dudes go see him anyway? I saw him on SNL one night and really don't know any guys that would really want to watch that performance. I didn't even particularly care for it. I think I like my guys with a little less gyration.:eek::eek:

Don't worry, according to this his house is about to be demolished or something. :)

i must agree with everyone he is a pompus a$$ he thinks he can do what he wants when he wants. Honestly i don't like him or his music, after i saw him doing macys comercials i knew from then on he was a jerk.

There are guys who pay to go to Usher shows? I mean...it's not as if his music is good, and he's not good-looking either. Ugh- let him bite the dust.

Forget the guys, he's gonna need some luck in getting the ladies. This latest album is not that great and he's been acting pissy toward his fans as of late.

Quite the arrogant prick. F' Usher and others with that attitude. I hate P Diddy (Shaun Puffy Combs or whatever his name is now) the most, though, as he is the worst of the bunch...with ignorance and stupidity added to the mix.

Back to Usher...most overrated rapper ever.

lol that is pretty arrogant, but honestly i could care less lol, i dont plan on ever going to one of his concerts anyway so it doesnt really affect me.

Bear in mind that celebrities do things like this to get attention, you know how they say that bad publicity is sometimes better than no publicity. and guess what its working, had he not done this there probably wouldnt be a thread about him in macrumors lol.
