For some reason I have two "Shared" (/Users/Shared/) folders on my Mac.
I think it's because I've relocated my home folders to a different drive (following this guide at Mac Performance Guide) in my Mac Pro.
There's a (1TB) SSD with MacOS (10.13.6) in it along with all my apps.
Then there's a (10TB) hard drive with all the user accounts. I've called this drive "Users" and relocated all home folders to the root of the drive. I do have one admin account on the boot drive though (so I can boot up the computer in case the main HDD goes down. I believe the "Shared" folder on the boot drive was created when I first installed MacOS, but for some reason various apps have continued to put their shared stuff there.
Recently however I experienced an app which I tried to install but failed working properly. I finally found out that it couldn't find the "Shared" folder, so I simply created a new folder named "Shared" on my HDD (along with all my other home folders), gave it the correct permissions (looking up the permissions of the first "Shared" folder on the boot-SSD and it worked.
So obviously MacOS is somewhat confused about the Shared folder. How can I properly have it on the "Users" hard drive instead of on the boot-SSD?
