am wondering how to have 1.1.3 but still have my iPod jailbroken meaning I can still install stuff via installer. I have seen how on the iPhone that you can save your bookmarks on the menu of the iPod which is pretty cool, assuming that its for the touch aswell. So how can I have all the 1.1.3 updates from apple and still be jailbroken?
Any help will be much appreciated.

So do I skip had of the guide to where it says 'steps to updating to 1.1.3.' and follow it from there. Do I lose all my songs and apps installed such as iphysics etc and also do I get the update where you can save your Internet bookmarks on the menu and arrange them?

Yes just continue that part of the guide. And yes you will lose all your stuff. But you can always just re-install it.

Is that guide the easiest way or is there an easier way?

Heck no. Install :
http://www.touchrepo.com/repo.xml

In your Installer on the Sources page. Refresh - In Categories, scroll down to Packages - select Official 1.1.3 Upgrader. Install it. After the springboard re-srpings.

Go to General in Settings and set Auto-Lock to Never

Go to Installer and make sure you have the latest BSD subsystem.

Look for Upgrader app. on your springboard. Click it and follow the directions.

About 20 minutes later, you will have a jailbroken 1.1.3. Oh yeah. The cable and iTunes symbols will come up. Plug in the jb Touch and it will tell you it needs to sync. Go ahead. All your stuff will be back.

Thanks.

What is the bsd system and how do I find out that its the latest one?
I lose all my apps right?

Everytime i go and download the 1.1.3 upgrade it say ''package download failed''

pls help

Infact everything i try and install/uninstall says ''package download failed''

please help.

EDIT:had to install the latest community sources.

wow thats one complicated jailbreak guide, that is deffinately not the guide thats WAY too involved for jailbreaking. should only need 5 things when jailbreaking from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 the 1.1.1 restore file, jailbreakme.com, oktoprep installed after jailbreak, updated with 1.1.2 restore file and then the Conceited Software 1.1.2 jailbreak
