Most of my work is not processor nor graphic intensive at all so I figure an SSD would probably do me the most good

I'm looking for something within the range of 128-256GB, doesn't have to have the BEST random/sequential read/write speeds (though something near the top) and is within the 200-400 price range (preferably lower)
EDIT: SATAII requirement

Suggestions are much appreciated!

Look at Samsung 470

Price reduction at Newegg on the 128GB. The 470 is not the fastest of the fast, but so far, it is one of the most reliable. I have it in my 2011 MBP with Trim enabled. 6 months and absolutely NO problems. Boot to on in 15 seconds.

I would have recommended the OCZ Vertex 3 to you.

However, you don't have SATA III on the 2010 MBP so you might want to look at a SATA II SSD to save yourself some money.

Two things about your post (and thank you for the quick response):
1. I did a quick google search and have heard negative reviews of SSDs produced by OCZ - most of them were complaints about very slow random read/write speeds (compared to other SSDs of the same size)
2. I was actually unaware about the SATA II vs SATA III issue - I'll check later but thanks for the notice - with that in mind I'll edit my first post to ask about SATA II SSDs

You mention that you have Trim enabled but you're also running a 2011 MBP - does the mid-2010 MBP allow Trim for SSDs?

Also: similar to my above post, I've also read some reviews regarding Samsung's poor random read/write speeds
