I am nowhere near the song capacity. (14,000 songs) My question, is the space that 14,000 should take up on my iPod touch already calculated into the disk space? Is there some way I can find out how much space I actually have. I think I cleared out all my duplicate songs yesterday, but I just added a few albums, but the line graph of what I have didn't change and the numbers also stayed the same. (I hope I explained that well.)

Does Settings — General — iPod touch Storage show you what you need?

There's a list of the apps there and how much each takes up.

It's real space; there's no allocation or set aside for anticipated space that I know of.

Video eats up lots of space. I've deleted podcasts and the line graph changes marginally. You can see how much difference your deletions made by looking at the data above the line graph and seeing the change for the particular app that holds your songs.

You may have to delete a lot to show much change. That’s because it's expressed in GBs and decimals thereof.

Can I still keep the videos on my MBA's Apple Music library? I have a few videos.

Will this help?

Apparently I did something different when checking for duplicate songs I didn't realize I had. I currently have a little more than half of my internal hard drive on my iPod touch. I bet the numbers will keep going down until every song is played in my Apple Music library. (I think I read a few days ago that removing playlists also free up space.) It's amazing it went from almost full to less than half in less than a week after.

I'm not complaining, I will have plenty of space when my favorite solo artists or groups release new albums.
