Will I have to swipe up to get my home screen instead of using the home button? I'm confused because on the Macrumors main page when it was giving minute by minute updates as they happened from today:

It also mentioned tap to wake the screen. Are these ios 11 features only on the new phones, or is that how it is going to work on any device running ios 11 regardless of what model phone/ipad it is?
