1. No.
2. Screw them, it's your item.
3. Some of that can't be discussed on the forums (acquiring those ROMs is actually illegal), but there is an app available through Installer after you finish Jailbreaking-- you know, for if you write your own ROMs. Obviously.
4. You use different software with each version you are trying to Jailbreak, but all of the URLs should be available on this forum.

^he pretty much covered it, but as far as #2 goes....

they don't really care. it can be restored. i was in the apple store a few days ago because i had a question about something and i had mentioned that my ipod was previously jailbroken, but they didn't react like it was some horrible feat or something.
