I just bought 2 albums from AmazonMP3, instead of buying them from iTunes. I have betrayed the mighty iForce, I apologize. But it's still a really good service. While it doesn't have the greatest selection, I still think it has potential, and I like how every song is DRM free, even the ones that are DRM'ed on iTunes. If you haven't tried it out, I highly suggest it. You get album art and everything. It's really good.

If you have tried it, what do you think of it?

I await your torches and pitchforks at my front door. :)

Thank God this isn't another angst-ridden emo thread.

Oops, was that out loud?

Amazon indeed seems to have a decent service that plays fine with iTunes.

the only thing stopping me from using Amazon is that they're MP3s. i prefer the AAC format personally.

... and another turn of events in the ghall saga!!!

(BTW when I saw you started this thread and had that title I thought that you would say something like "I really don't like my girlfriend and I want to break up with her" or something like that. I enjoy reading your threads a lot ).

You have failed me for the last time, Ghall.

Sweet. I just bought an iMac from Amazon instead of Apple (to bypass paying tax). :D

it's ok, really, guys in shiny white :apple: suits aren't going to behead you or anything.

I second that. I know alot of people who don't pay for music and then complain about the quality

I'm not going to say where or how, nor advocate it, I'm just merely going to correct a bit of misinformation. If you have access to the proper resources, you can get music for free that is much higher quality than anything the online stores sell. You can even get lossless too and then encode it to whatever format you want.

You can't say that on here! You'll wake up one day blinded by sunlight, with no memory of who you are, on a desert island somewhere in the Carribean. You should never mess with iPeople - if you've ever seen Spooks, you'll know that iMacs have this magical power which allows them to trace anyone anywhere ;)

I actually look on Amazon before I go to iTunes, as well. It makes more sense. A lot of stuff is cheaper, as well as DRM free.

This is coming from a Fair Use advocate. I don't share my music, but I don't want to have to authorize it on all my macs either. I'll not buy from the iTunes store unless I can't find it on Amazon, or can't get the CD (which is another reason to praise Amazon's used CD resale thingymajig).
